Belgrade Stock Exchange Rang for Gender Equality

For the seventh consecutive year, stock exchanges around the world ring the bell to celebrate the International Women's Day, March 8, bringing public attention to the role the business and financial sector can play in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and raising awareness about the UN Women’s Empowerment Principles.

For the third year in a row, the Belgrade Stock Exchange is participating in the global initiative "Ring the Bell for Gender Equality", which involves over 100 stock exchanges on all continents. An online event "Stock Exchange Bell for Gender Equality" was held on Thursday, March 11, at which the symbolic ceremonial bell at the closing of the trading session belled to draw attention to the importance of achieving gender equality and eliminating all forms of discrimination.

As part of this year's platform for raising awareness, the Global Compact Network in Serbia and the Belgrade Stock Exchange prepared a campaign "Why it is over with gender inequality?", with successful women not only in business and finance, but also in sports, media, politics and culture, spoke about this issue.
