Refounding

With the adoption of the Law on the Money Market and the Capital Market Yugoslav capital market was re-established in 1989. In 1992 it changed its name to Belgrade Stock Exchange, continuing the tradition of one of the prominent European stock exchanges. However, until 2002 the dominant market instrument were short-term securities, which corresponded to the extisting economic and political circumstances in the country. Since 2002, the Belgrade Stock Exchange reshaped its organization of trading in securities, shifting the focus to the organization of trading in long-term bonds and stocks.
