Dr Sandra Bramhoff

Dr Sandra Bramhoff

Deutsche Boerse AG, Head of Products & Regulation, Cash Equity Markets

Dr. Bramhoff is Deutsche Boerse's market microstructure expert and currently leading MiFID II implementation project for Deutsche Boerse’s cash market. She first joined the industry in 2003 as a graduate trainee at Deutsche Bank and worked as an investment manager in Private Wealth Management. In 2006 she moved on to Deutsche Boerse where she helped firms to raise capital through the primary markets and played a key role in the development of Deutsche Boerse's segment for small and medium sized companies (Entry Standard). In 2010 she joined the London office as a relationship manager where she was looking after major trading participants in the UK and Scandinavia and responsible for business related projects. Since 2012 Dr. Bramhoff has been instrumental in the firm's responses on several regulatory issues (e.g. MiFID II, Financial Transaction Tax, HFT, ESMA guidelines etc.). Dr. Bramhoff also played a vital role in the successful implementation of the German High Frequency Trading Act.

Serbian Chamber of Commerce, President

Marko Čadež is President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia (CCIS) and a member of the EUROCHAMBRES' Board of Directors from a non-EU country. He was elected President of the CCIS in December 2014 from his previous positions of Vice President in charge of modernization of the chamber system and Director of the CCIS Representative Offices in Germany and Austria. He is a member of the Economic Council of the Serbian Development Agency. He served as President of the Managing Board of the Serbian Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SIEPA).
He is a communications and Serbian – German relations expert and one of the founders and a member of the Managing Board of the Serbia – Germany Forum.
He was born on 1 June 1977 in Belgrade. He completed his studies in Germany and graduated from the Academy for Marketing Communications in Frankfurt in 2001.
From 2003 till his arrival to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, he was employed with the German Embassy in Belgrade as its Spokesperson for nearly a decade. He was the Deutsche Welle Coordinator for Serbia and Montenegro as well as a Programme Coordinator and Advisor for politics and communications with the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Belgrade.
He speaks German and English.

Alexander’s 27 years of banking experience include CEO positions since 2004 in banks in Austria, Bosnia & Hercegovina and Slovenia for Hypo Alpe Adria International, Serbia and Kazakhstan for UniCredit, as well as CRO and COO postings since 1997 in Russia and Poland for Creditanstalt BV. He holds a degree in law and Slavonic Studies.

Ernst Bode is Executive Director of Messer Tehnogas in Serbia since 2005 and Senior Vice President South Eastern Europe of Messer Group since 2009. He is responsible for 16 Messer Companies in 11 countries in South Eastern Europe. He is also member of the Advisory Councils of all Messer Companies in the SEE region and member of Board of Directors in NALED.
He was born on October 18th 1961 in Mühlhausen, Germany. He graduated on the Faculty of Business and Administration and since 1988 he was working in Messer Companies in Hungary, Italy and Serbia.

Ivan Takev is CEO of Bulgarian Stock Exchange. He joined its team in 2001 and was appointed as CEO in 2008.
His entire experience is in the area of finance and capital markets. Prior to joining Bulgarian Stock Exchange Ivan Takev held an expert position at the Bulgarian Financial Supervision Commission.
In May 2012 he was appointed member of the management board of the Central Securities Depository in Bulgaria.

Ludwik Sobolewski was appointed as CEO of the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) in August 2013. Before joining BVB, Ludwik Sobolewski was President and CEO of the Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE) between 2006 and 2013. During his mandate, WSE became the leading stock exchange in CEE and a listed company on its own regulated market since 2010, after the rolling of a successful IPO. Ludwik Sobolewski supported the business development of the stock exchange, by attracting new companies for listing, increasing the number of international members of the WSE, and by promoting the services and products of the exchange. He also played an active role in the creation of the capital market infrastructure, with NewConnect, a market for start-ups, early stage and small and medium-size companies, with Catalyst market, the first organized, exchange-type market for non-treasury debt securities in Poland, with the BondSpot SA and the Polish Power Exchange SA acquisition.

Richárd Végh

Budapest Stock Exchange, CEO

Richárd Végh was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Budapest Stock Exchange (BSE) in December 2015 and Chief Executive Officer on 1 January 2016.
Previously he worked at the Central Bank of Hungary (MNB) from November 2013 to December 2015, as Director of the Capital Market Supervision Directorate and was responsible for prudential supervision of capital market institutions in Hungary, market surveillance examinations, concerning market manipulation, insider trading, and unauthorized financial services and was also responsible for the capital market issuer licensing. He was representing MNB in several national and international organizations including the Board of Supervisors of ESMA. He has been member of the Board of the Hungarian Investor Protection Fund (BEVA) since 2013.
From 2004 till 2013 he worked at Budapest Stock Exchange in various positions.

Socrates Lazaridis is CEO of the Athens Exchange Group. He is also Chairman of the Board of the Stock Markets Steering Committee, member of the Board of the Hellenic Capital Market Commission, Chairman of the Hellenic Corporate Governance Council and Member of the Board of the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce.
He joined the Athens Exchange Group in 1994 and held several positions at the Central Securities Depository, the "Systems Development and Support of Capital Market" (ASYK SA) and the Athens Exchange, while he served as member of the Board at Athens Derivatives Exchange and the Athens Derivatives Exchange Clearing House.
He was also member of the Board of the LinkUp Markets and of the Federation of the European Securities Exchanges (FESE).
Born in Athens in 1962, he studied Economics at the Department of Economics in Athens University and continued his studies for an MSc (Econ) at Queen Mary College of London. In 1987 he founded "Effect Ltd", which specialized in software development for the capital markets industry.

Serhat Gorgun has been at Borsa İstanbul since December 2013, acting as the head of marketing and sales activities. At this capacity, he is responsible for the marketing activities pertaining to listing efforts, customer relationship management, commercialization of Borsa İstanbul’s market data, supervision of BIST indices, data center/co-location projects, technology transfers, Borsa İstanbul Private Market and is also in charge of marketing efforts associated with the expansion of Borsa İstanbul’s investor base, as well as its trade volume. In addition to these responsibilities, Mr. Gorgun acts as the Board Member in Sarajevo Stock Exchange, Montenegro Stock Exchange and Istanbul Gemology Institute representing Borsa İstanbul. Mr. Gorgun is the founding member of Galata Business Angels’ Network (first and the largest angel investment group in Turkey), and the member of The Union of Chambers and Commerce of Turkey’s Enterprise Capital Council. He played active role either as an investor or as a founding partner in more than 30 start-ups since 2006. Prior to his appointment at Borsa İstanbul, he worked as the Managing Partner of Inveon Inc, a software solutions company that develops a wide range of bespoke solutions and consultancy services catering to e-commerce and mobile ventures. From 2006 until 2012, he was the General Manager of Inovent Intellectual Property Rights Management and Investment Inc., a company focusing on assisting entrepreneurs, inventors and technology holders from academic research and development institutions and from the industry. Prior to Inovent, Mr. Gorgun was the Founding General Manager of GVZ Speech Technologies Inc., a Koç Holding company, which was the first and the only speech technologies company in Turkey. Before GVZ, Mr. Gorgun was responsible for enterprise level customers at Microsoft Turkey as an Account Manager. He joined Microsoft from KoçSistem, which is one of the leading system integrator companies in Turkey, where he served as a Sales Specialist and Sales Manager from 1995 to 1999. Mr. Gorgun holds a B.Sc. in Management from the Middle East Technical University and an Executive MBA degree from Koç University.

Daniel Kormoczi is the Deputy CEO of the Budapest Stock Exchange responsible for International Relations since February 2016.
He moved to this current position from KBC Securities where he was heading the institutional equities trading and custody sales team of the Hungarian branch as Deputy CEO.
Between 2010 and 2012. he was member of the supervisory board of KBC Equitas, the online brokerage firm. Previously for 2 year he was responsible for electronic equities trading and custody sales within KBC. Prior to 2008, he held various capital market related positions at K&H Bank and Citi.
He was member of various committees of the Budapest Stock Exchange and the Central Securities Depository and he has been involved in several market development initiatives.
Presently he is member of the Board of Directors of KELER CCP the Hungarian clearing house. He studied at the Budapest University of Economics.
