Martin Hinteregger has been working for Erste Group since 1998. Before joining Erste Group, Martin worked in capital market transaction teams at CA IB Investmentbank AG and Creditanstalt (later BA-CA, HVB Group and Unicredit Group).
Martin has, amongst others, been responsible for the project management of various equity transactions such as IPOs and capital increases in sectors such as real estate, postal services, engineering, oil and gas, financial services, automotive and gaming. His personal track record in the capital markets includes 75 deals in 9 countries raising approx. 25bn EUR (out of which 13bn EUR in lead management position).
Since February 2012, Martin is responsible for Erste Group's Equity Capital Markets (ECM) and M&A operations in all the markets the bank is active in heading a team based in Vienna, Prague, Warsaw, Belgrade, Bucharest, Istanbul and Hong Kong.
Martin received his degree from the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration and obtained the post-graduate degree of CEFA (Certified European Financial Analyst).

David Schoch graduated from School of Business in the University of Chicago in the year 2002. He has a Master degree in Business Administration. David Schoch is currently a member of the Serbian Private Equity Association. He is a Foundig member of the Board of Directors and President of the Association. He is also a Founder and member of the board of directors in Orion Telekom. Recognized as one of the leaders in private equity in the former Yugoslavia and was one of the founders of the UK Corporate Venturing association in London. A hands on manager with extensive experience in developing, building and managing companies both through organic growth and acquisition. Expertise in identifying and developing successful management teams. Strong understanding of valuing, negotiating, closing and integrating acquisition targets. Graduated at the Faculty of Economics, University of Belgrade. He got MA degree at the same Faculty. His MA thesis was titled "Capital Structure and Strategic Management". PhD degree acquired in 1995 at the Faculty of Economics in Belgrade, thesis titled "Strategies of Corporate Restructuring". He spent eight months in USA attending Fulbright Program for professional internship. During 2008/2009, within TEMPUS program, he spent some time on professional training in Turin, University in Seville and University in Nice.
He started his career at the Faculty of Economics as lecturer.
From 2005 he works at Belgrade Banking Academy - Faculty for Banking, Insurance and Financing - Vice Dean, Head of Master Programs and Professor in "Principles of Management", "Strategic Management" and "Financial Markets" and "Securities Investments". From 2006 he is Director of the Institute of Economic Sciences, Belgrade.
Associate at faculties and business schools in Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina. From September to December 1997. he was engaged as an expert team member of the Working Group for reconstructing financial markets of FRY Government.
From 1997 to the beginning of 1999. Deputy Director of Broker house "Stockbroker". Later he became member of the Managing Board. During 2000-01 participated in Educational Program for Stockbrokers at national financial market. By decision of Federal Commission for Securities and Financial Markets nominated for Head lecturer for brokers and dealers. At the same time, 2000-02 he was Special Adviser of the President of Federal Commission for Securities and Financial Markets. From January 2003 to September 2004 - a member of Commission for Securities of Republic of Serbia.
During 2002. participated actively in Fulbright Alumni Association of Serbia and Montenegro - being one of Managing Board members and Deputy President. Government of Serbia appointed him to be a member of National Council for Competiveness.
He is the author of numerous papers, articles, reports, participant of many projects in the country and abroad.

Veselin Pjescic, Vice-Governor, National Bank of Serbia

Topic: Desirable tendencies on the debt securities market

Mr Pjescic was born in 1971 in Gacko, Bosnia and Herzegovina. After completing his secondary education in Vrsac, Mr Pjescic moved to Belgrade where he graduated from the Faculty of Economics in 1996 and defended his master's thesis "Central Bank Independence and Macroeconomic Stability" in 2001. Mr Pjescic started his professional career as a financial analyst at the Financial Consulting Centre of the Economics Institute in Belgrade. He has been working at the National Bank since March 2008. He became Head of the Division for Open Market Operations in December 2001 and was promoted in February 2003 to General Manager of the Monetary System and Policy Department (now Monetary Operations Department). He managed the Department until June 2012, leading the efforts to promote market-based monetary policy instruments, including repo transactions, deposit and lending facilities, and the key policy rate of the National Bank of Serbia supported by a corridor of interest rates. Efforts were made in parallel to develop monetary analysis and the model of forecasting banking sector liquidity. Mr Pjescic was also involved in the development of the market of government securities and foreign exchange swap market, introduction of the BEONIA interest rate in the interbank market, and in the introduction and analysis of other market indicators. He resigned his position of an advisor to the Governor of the National Bank of Serbia to take office as Vice-Governor on 25 September 2012. Mr Pjescic attended many training programmes and also represented the National Bank of Serbia in numerous international and domestic conferences and professional events related to the theory of macroeconomics and monetary policy. He is a long-standing member of the editorial board of the professional magazine "Macroeconomic Analyses and Trends" (MAT), published by the Economics Institute in Belgrade, and a co-author of a number of papers in the field of central banking and monetary policy, published in domestic journals. He is the father of two boys: Stefan and Pavle.

Sonja Miladinovski, Member of Executive Board, Societe Generale Banka Srbija

Topic: Deployment of the Debt Market: Experience and Prospective

Sonja Miladinovski, a Member of Societe Generale Banka Srbija's Executive Board, in charge for finance and liquidity. Sonja has more than 26 years of banking experience, first as a foreign exchange dealer and later on managing the payment operations and credit arrangements domestically and abroad. She has joined Soc Gen in 2003, after being in charge for the domestic FX market operations and the Exchange Rate Policy at the National Bank of Yugoslavia. Before joining the NBJ, Sonja spent 15 years in Jugobanka Beograd. Presently, she is a member of the Supervisory Boards of the Pension Fund Company "SG Penzije" and Insurance Company "SG Insurance" in Belgrade, as well as a being the President of the Board of Directors of Societe Generale Banka Montenegro in Podgorica. Mrs. Miladinovski has often lectured on seminars and workshops associated with financial markets. Sonja is a graduate of the Faculty of Law at the University of Belgrade and passed a number of specialized banking courses and exams, both domestically and abroad. She is a long time member of the ACI Serbia Executive Council, where also held the post of Presidential from 2006 to 2010. Between 2005 and 2008, Sonja was the Regional President of ACI International Financial Markets for the entire CEE region, in charge for 11 countries, including Russia. She is 49, married and has two daughters.

Slavko Caric, CEO, Erste Bank ad Novi Sad

Topic: First steps toward revitalisation of Serbian capital markets

Slavko Caric is CEO of Erste Bank ad Novi Sad, member of Erste Group, which is one of the leading financial institutions in Central and Eastern Europe.
Born in 1971. in Novi Sad. He was educated in America and Switzerland, where he graduated in business administration 1995th at the University of Geneva.
In January 2009. he assumed the post of CEO of Erste Bank Serbia. Previously, since 2007. he was a vice president in charge of corporate banking and capital markets.
Prior to joining Erste Bank, he was the director of a leading brokerage and investment company in Serbia - Synergy Capital. During his career he founded several successful companies in the field of trade and finance. Since 2002. to 2003. he was general manager and partner brokers Citadel Securities.
He speaks several languages: English, French, Italian, Russian and German. He lives in Belgrade, is married and has three children.
He is a member of the Council for Economic Recovery of Serbia. He also voluntarily performs the functions of Chairman of the Board of the National Theatre in Belgrade, Board member of the Tennis Association of Serbia and member of the Governing Board of the Serbian Association of Managers.

Aleksandar Bucic, Managing Assistant to Secretary General for Finance, Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities

Topic: Development and Perspectives of the municipal bonds market in Serbia

Aleksandar Bucic is a municipal finance and intergovernmental finance advisor within the Association of Local Governments in Serbia (Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities), with experience in capital investment finance, local credit and bond market development, capacity building and technical assistance in fiscal decentralization and advocacy activities. He is a project manager, having led various donor-initiated projects for the Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities (SCTM) such as EU, GIZ, KfW, World Bank and Open Society Institute.
As the Managing Assistant to the Secretary General for Finance in SCTM, he currently acts as a Manager of EU Exchange 3 program targeting the standardization of local government financial system regulations with EU standards. His engagement led to establishment and improvement of local tax administrations and strengthening of the Intergovernmental Finance Commission. Also, in 2010, he established and led a group of local experts, supported by EU Delegation programs which prepared and realized first municipal bond issue in Serbia - City of Novi Sad municipal bond.
During 2010 and 2011, he was a City Council Member in charge for budget and finance in the City of Uzice. During his engagement in Uzice, he was in charge for organizing the loan and bond (underwriter services) procurement which resulted in providing funding for communal infrastructure under the most attractive conditions on the local market at that time.
He is a Deputy member of the Intergovernmental Finance Commission. He is a member of the Fiscal decentralization task force within the Network of Associations of Local Authorities of South-East Europe (NALAS). He has published numerous publications and articles on local government finance issues, local government borrowing and municipal bonds, etc.
Mr. Bucic holds B.Sc and M.Sc degree in economics from the Faculty of Economics, University of Belgrade. In 2007 he successfully finalized Intergovernmental Fiscal Relations and Local Financial Management course on Central European University (CEU), Budapest. His professional education covers numerous international programs and courses in the field of public finance, local government finance, local credit market, fiscal policy and taxation, etc.

Robert Sheffrin, Finance Expert, The Integrated Innovation Support Programme

Topic: "Breaking down the Barriers" - developing private equity and venture capital in Serbia

Robert Sheffrin trained as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG subsequently working with Deloittes and Ladbroke Group plc before joining Enterprise Ventures, a UK venture capital fund manager.
Specialising in SME investment, he has raised and managed venture capital funds, been a non- executive director of venture capital backed companies and advised business angel networks. He is now operates an International Venture Capital Consultancy and is presently working with the EU Integrated Innovation Support Programme for Serbia.
He has advised or invested in over 100 companies and participated in IPOs as a fund manager and private investor. In 2004, he was appointed to the Advisory Council of Imperial Energy Corporation, a high growth start up that initially raised ?875,000, achieved London Stock Exchange FTSE 250 status and was acquired for ?1.3 billion within five years.
Other appointments include Director of the British Business Angels Association (2009 -2012), past President of the Manchester Society of Chartered Accountants, ICAEW Council Member and Member of the University of Manchester General Assembly. He is an Accredited Civil Mediator.
